Good Bye, Dear Uncle Bob

Two weeks ago our family lost a Grandpa. My Mom's uncle Bob passed away on Wednesday May 14 from a car accident. My Mom's Aunt and Uncle took great care of my Mom after she lost her parents as a teenager. They were very much her Mom and Dad and Grandparents to us kids. Bob was a wonderful Man. He served as the Mayor of Cedar City for 8 years during the 1980's, served in many civic and religious capacities and was an honest, kind, loving and genuine person. Many people loved him, and he will be dearly missed.

We were able to see Bob when he stopped by at my Mom's house on Mother's day. He was with his wife Helen, daughter Bobette and her husband Wayne. I was able to get a picture of them with Hunter. What a treasure to see him just a few days before he passed away.

Bob served in WWII and the Korean War, he received full honors at his burial, it was really something to see. I added these pictures mainly for posterity's sake.

This is my Cousin Joe, he recently returned from serving in Afghanistan for 18 months and was able to give the flag to my Aunt Helen.

My Uncle Terry and his wife Judy (my parents best friends and College roomates) and their daughter Kristin.

My Aunt Cecil with her kids and grand kids.
