And, their off...

Both Alexis and Wyatt started school this week. Alexis made the jump to 1st grade and Wyatt started pre-school. Both of them were very excited, Alexis has been counting down for the last 2 weeks.

I think I am really going to like being back to school. I miss them when they are gone, but I love structure. I will also have time to take care of errands! I think kids like having a schedule too.

Our last week of summer...

We crammed in as much fun as we could the week before school started. Here are a few pictures. Our neighbor had this awesome blow up water slide. The kids loved it!

The kids have been begging to do a lemonade stand, so I finally gave in. They did a great job and made more money than I did selling painted rocks at their age.

Alexis has been saving to buy an iPod Shuffle - she is almost there thanks to her hard work.

We finished up the week with a swimming birthday party, it was a great way to wrap up summer!

Other stuff we've been up to...

We went up to Snowbasin a week or so ago - it was gorgeous! It's a ski resort nestled in the Wasatch mountains near Huntsville. They have a gondola that takes you up to the top, where there is a lodge. It was hot the day we went up; 100 degrees in the valley and a wonderful 75 at the top.

Up at the lodge they served a yummy, fancy dinner. They sat us by the window, the kids loved it! Here is Alexis showing off all her silverware, she didn't know what to do with all those extra utensils!!

After dinner Aaron took the kids for a hike on one of the many trails while Hunter and I enjoyed the view.

Back on the gondola for the trip down.

Hunter liked it too! We had a great time. I love the beautiful mountains in Utah!

What we've been up to.

We went to the Bountiful Pioneer Day parade on July 23rd. The kids and I met my Mom, Amber and one of her good friends and her boys there. We had a lot of fun - we haven't been to a parade for a long time.

The water guns came out, Alexis and Wyatt enjoyed that!

I love to run...

I got a good one in today! Early, before the sun was up and it was nice and cool, ahhh. Great way to start a day!
