Last week we took a ride on the newest and coolest transportation addition to the Wasatch Front: Front Runner! We have been watching the Farmington Station go up and the trains running, and the kids have been wanting to go. The first 5 days you could ride for free. We decided to wait due to the crowds (Alicia, seeing your blog makes me soo glad). So Aaron took an afternoon off and we went for it. It was a cold rainy day, and when we got there, we had problems purchasing the tickets. We had to run and catch the train, we got to it - and then it took off. We had to wait 30 minutes for the next train, but we made it on that one!
It was not crowded at all. We rode to the Gateway and had an early dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen. The kids were so excited, they loved it! This was also a landmark event because we took Hunter out with the whole family for the first time. He did great! On the way back we rode with the business folks, we got some looks with the only kids on the train, but their comments got some people smiling:)
